Une galerie d’érotisme is a titillating visual gallery of erotic art featuring rare illustrations, ranging from charming and humorous sketches to graphic depictions of human sexuality. These “forbidden” works span the centuries and include images chosen from scarce editions of curiosa and European literature — reproduced from clandestine libertine novels, as well as 19th century erotica. This unique little book retains the anonymity of the artists who risked imprisonment for their explicit creations. Each image is accompanied by a quotation which captures the spirit of the art.
The final volume in the Pocket Erotica series was banned from Amazon and we thought we’d have to issue it as a digital book. However, an alternate printer has saved the day, so the book can now be ordered directly at the link below. Please note the format is larger than the uniform series size of 4×6, but for an art book, it seems just right.
